Airbnb Cleaning in Romford (RM)
Our Airbnb cleaning in Romford is for hosts who have to turn a property round between a morning check-out and an afternoon check-in. We change the beds, clean the bathroom, top up the welcome supplies and make sure the next guest walks into the place they saw in your listing photos. We cover short lets across RM, from one-bed flats near the station to family houses let out at weekends, and we work to your own checklist so the standard stays the same from one booking to the next.
Send us the property details and your booking pattern, and we’ll come back with a free, no-obligation quote.
What a turnover clean covers between guests
A turnover clean resets the property for the next stay. We agree the checklist with you first and follow it on every visit. A typical list looks like this.
Kitchen
- Wipe worktops, splashbacks, cupboard fronts, handles and switches
- Clean the hob, the microwave inside and out, and the exterior of the oven, fridge and dishwasher
- Check the fridge for food left by guests and wipe the shelves
- Wash, dry and put away any crockery left out, then check the dishwasher has been emptied
- Empty bins, wash the caddy if needed and fit fresh liners
- Clean the sink and taps, then mop the floor
Bathroom
- Clean the toilet inside and out, including the base and the seat hinges
- Descale taps, shower heads and glass screens where limescale has built up
- Clean the bath, shower tray, basin and tiles, and pick hair out of plugholes
- Polish mirrors, then lay out fresh towels and bath mats
Bedrooms and living areas
- Strip and remake beds with clean linen
- Dust bedside tables, headboards, skirting boards and TV units
- Vacuum carpets, rugs and sofas, and mop hard floors
- Check under beds and inside wardrobes and drawers for anything left behind
- Straighten cushions, throws and furniture to match your listing layout
Throughout
- Wipe door handles, light switches, remotes and other high-touch points
- Clean the entrance area and doormat, plus the balcony or patio if it’s in scope
- Close windows, set the heating as you’ve asked, and lock up
Linen, restocking and a photo-ready finish
Linen: We make beds with your linen sets, using hotel-style presentation if that’s the look in your photos: tight corners, folded towels and the throw placed the same way every time. Used linen gets bagged and left for your laundry arrangement, or handled however we’ve agreed with you. Keep at least two full sets per bed in the property. That way one set is always clean while the other is being washed.
Restocking: We top up whatever you keep on site. That usually means toilet roll, hand soap, washing-up liquid, dishwasher tablets, bin bags, tea, coffee and the guest welcome pack. We’ll tell you when stock is running low, so the next guest doesn’t open an empty cupboard.
Photo-ready finish: Send us your listing photos or a short set of reference shots. We’ll stage each room to match them, so the bedroom looks the way guests expect when they open the door.
What sits outside a standard turnover
A turnover keeps a property in good shape. It doesn’t undo months of build-up, so some jobs need agreeing and quoting separately:
- Periodic deep cleans. Inside the oven, behind appliances, extractor filters, grout and high-level dusting. Many hosts book a deep clean every few months, or during a quiet week.
- Carpets and upholstery. Spills on a sofa or a bedroom carpet often need extraction. Allow drying time before the next guest arrives. See carpet cleaning.
- External windows and anything that needs ladders.
- Heavy mess after a party, bodily fluids or sharps. Tell us first so we can decide whether it’s safe for us to handle, or whether it needs a specialist.
Some problems cleaning can’t fix. Black mould from structural damp keeps coming back until the cause is sorted. Burns on a worktop, scratched flooring and stained grout that has broken down are repairs, not cleaning jobs. We’ll tell you honestly when that’s the situation.
How we set up your short let
- Send us the details. Tell us the number of bedrooms and bathrooms, your usual check-out and check-in times, and how often you take bookings. Photos help.
- We agree the checklist and quote. We go through the tasks room by room and add your house rules, such as where the spare duvet lives or how the bins work. The scope and price are agreed upfront, before any work starts.
- We sort access. Key safe, smart lock or another arrangement. More on that below.
- We clean to the list. Our cleaners are vetted and insured, and they bring the products and equipment unless you’d rather we used yours.
- We check the work and report back. Before leaving, we go back through the agreed tasks, then let you know the property is ready.
Keys, lockboxes and access
Most hosts in Romford use a key safe or a smart lock. Both work well for us: you share the code, and we can tell you once we’re in and once we’ve locked up. If you change codes between guests, add us to your routine so we’re never left standing at the door.
In blocks of flats, tell us about fob entry, concierge sign-in, lift access and where the bin store is. Parking near the town centre can be tight, so let us know about any permit bays or visitor spaces as well. We’ll agree any key handover in advance and treat your access details securely.
Same-day turnovers and tight windows
Same-day turnovers are the normal pattern for short lets, and we plan our visits around them. The more notice we have of your bookings, the easier it is to hold the slot. Sharing your calendar, or sending bookings as they come in, works best. Last-minute requests depend on availability. We’ll always tell you straight away whether we can fit one in, rather than leaving you guessing.
If guests regularly check out late, set a firm check-out time in your house rules. A one-hour delay can push the clean into your check-in window.
Reporting back after each clean
Hosts usually can’t see the property between guests, so we act as your eyes. We can send a short note after each visit covering:
- Any damage, breakages or stains we’ve spotted, with photos
- Items guests have left behind
- Supplies that are running low
- Anything that needs a repair, such as a dripping tap, a blown bulb or a sticking lock
That gives you the evidence you need for a host claim, and it means small faults get fixed before they turn into bad reviews.
What changes the price
Every short let is different, so we quote each one rather than using a set rate. The main factors are:
- Number of bedrooms, bathrooms and beds to make
- The condition guests usually leave it in
- What’s on your checklist: restocking, staging and linen handling
- How often we visit, and how much turnaround time we get
- Extras such as oven cleaning or carpet treatment
- Access and parking
There’s more detail on our pricing page, or you can request a quote for your property.
Doing it properly in a let property
Guests notice the details, and so do we:
- Separate cloths for each area. Bathroom cloths never go near the kitchen, and toilet cloths stay with the toilet.
- Products that suit the surface. We avoid acidic descalers on natural stone and bleach on stainless steel, and we use gentle cleaners on oak worktops. Tell us about any delicate finishes. Eco-friendly products are available on request, and we check they’re suitable for each surface.
- Product instructions followed, including contact times, and food-prep surfaces rinsed so they’re safe to use.
- Pet-friendly lets. If you take dogs, we’ll pay extra attention to hair on sofas, throws and skirting boards. Tell guests with allergies what to expect, because no clean can promise an allergen-free property.
What hosts say
“I run two flats near the station and check-in is often three hours after check-out. They’ve never missed a turnaround, and the beds look exactly like my listing photos.” Daniel K., Romford town centre, Airbnb cleaning
“Really useful that they send photos when something’s wrong. A guest cracked a glass shelf in the fridge and I had the pictures for my claim the same afternoon.” Sophie M., Gidea Park, short let cleaning
“Our house in Harold Wood is let out at weekends. They restock everything and tell me when coffee pods are getting low. Small thing, but guests mention it.” Raj P., Harold Wood, turnover cleaning
“Good with the key safe and they text when they’ve locked up. Booked a separate deep clean for the oven in January, which was worth doing.” Claire T., Hornchurch, Airbnb cleaning
Airbnb cleaning FAQs
Can you clean between a morning check-out and an afternoon check-in? Yes, that’s how most of our turnovers work. Share your calendar early so we can plan around it. Short-notice requests depend on availability.
Do you supply the linen? No, we make beds with your linen sets and leave used linen bagged for your laundry arrangement. We’ll agree how linen is handled when we set up your checklist.
Do you restock toiletries and kitchen supplies? Yes, from the stock you keep in the property. We’ll flag when anything is running low.
What happens if guests leave the place in a state? We’ll photograph it and contact you. A heavier clean may take longer or need agreeing as an extra, and some situations, such as sharps or bodily fluids, may need a specialist.
Can you report damage for host claims? Yes, if reporting is part of your agreed checklist. We’ll send photos and notes of any damage, missing items or faults we find.
How do you handle keys? Usually through a key safe or smart lock code. Other arrangements can be agreed in advance, and we keep your access details secure.
What if something on the checklist was missed? Contact us promptly and we’ll arrange to put it right. We’ll confirm the reporting window when you book, because timing matters with guests arriving.
