Deep cleaning service in Romford – room-by-room checklist - Cleaning Romford

Deep Cleaning Service in Romford (RM)

Some homes need more than a weekly wipe-round can give them: grease on the cooker hood, limescale around the taps, and dust on top of wardrobes that nobody has reached in months. Our deep cleaning service in Romford works through the whole property room by room, bringing it back to a properly clean starting point. We cover houses and flats across RM, from one-bed flats to family homes that have got away from you.

Call us or send a few photos of the worst rooms, and we’ll come back with a free, no-obligation quote.

What’s included in a deep clean, room by room

A deep clean reaches the places routine visits don’t: behind things, under things, on top of things, and into the build-up that has settled over time. Before we start, we agree a checklist with you so you know exactly what’s covered. This is a typical starting point.

Kitchen

  • Degreasing the outside of the cooker hood and washing removable metal extractor filters
  • Hob, splashback, wall tiles and grout lines
  • Cupboard and drawer fronts, handles and door edges where grease collects
  • Inside cupboards and drawers, if you’ve emptied them
  • Inside the microwave, and inside the fridge if it’s been emptied
  • Sink, taps and draining board, with limescale removed
  • Outside of appliances, plus behind and beside any that can be moved safely
  • Light switches, sockets, skirting boards and floor edges

Oven interiors are a separate job because they need different products and much more time. We can add oven cleaning to the same visit.

Bathrooms and toilets

  • Limescale removal from shower screens, taps, plugholes and the outside of shower heads
  • Tiles and grout scrubbed, and silicone cleaned
  • Toilet cleaned all over, including the base, hinges and the pipework behind
  • Bath panel, extractor fan cover, mirrors and cabinet fronts
  • Floors washed right into the corners

Bedrooms, living rooms and hallways

  • High dusting of wardrobe tops, coving, picture rails and light fittings within safe reach
  • Skirting boards, door frames, doors and radiators
  • Under and behind furniture that can be moved
  • Window sills, interior frames and the inside of the glass
  • Upholstery vacuumed, mattress tops vacuumed, and carpets vacuumed right to the edges
  • Hard floors washed
  • Banisters, handrails and spindles on the stairs

Deep clean or regular clean: which one do you need?

Book a deep clean when the build-up has gone beyond what an hour or two can fix. That usually means a home that hasn’t had a proper clean in a while, a spring clean, preparing for a new arrival or visitors, or getting a house back in order after illness.

Once it’s done, a regular cleaning visit is much quicker and cheaper to keep on top of, because the cleaner is maintaining the home rather than catching up. If you’re moving out, an end-of-tenancy clean is the better fit, as it works to the inventory rather than to your own priorities. We’ll tell you honestly which one suits.

Extras, limits and when cleaning isn’t the answer

These need agreeing separately, because they take specialist equipment, extra time or both:

  • Oven interiors and BBQ grills
  • Carpet and upholstery extraction (hot water cleaning that needs drying time)
  • External windows and anything that needs ladders or high-level access
  • Inside fridges, freezers and cupboards that haven’t been emptied
  • Wall washing across whole rooms

Some problems can’t be fixed with cleaning. We can clean black mould off a bathroom ceiling, but if it comes back within weeks, the cause is condensation or damp, and that needs ventilation or building work. Etched marble, burnt worktops, worn bath enamel and scratched glass are damage rather than dirt, so they’ll look cleaner but not new.

We’ll work hard on stains, but we can’t promise every one will lift. Old wine on a pale carpet or rust marks in a toilet bowl may have set for good. Hazardous materials such as sharps, suspected asbestos, heavy pest contamination or biohazard waste need a specialist contractor, so please mention anything like this when you enquire.

How long a deep clean takes

It depends on the size of the home, its condition and what’s on the list. A one-bed flat in fair condition can often be done in a single visit by one or two cleaners. A larger family house with a heavily used kitchen, several bathrooms and a lot of high dusting may need a bigger team or a full day.

We’ll give you an estimated time with your quote, so you can plan around it. If you need the property empty or the cleaning finished by a certain hour, tell us at the start.

How booking a deep clean works

  1. Tell us about the property. Give us the number of rooms, the condition, and anything you’re especially bothered about. Photos of the kitchen and bathrooms help us quote accurately.
  2. We agree the checklist and price. You’ll know the scope, any extras and the price upfront, before anyone arrives.
  3. We sort out access. You can be at home, leave keys with a neighbour, or use a key safe. We’ll confirm arrival arrangements in advance.
  4. We clean. We bring our own supplies and equipment unless we’ve agreed otherwise.
  5. We check the work. Before leaving, we go back through the agreed tasks. If something on the list has been missed, contact us promptly and we’ll arrange to put it right. We’ll confirm how that works when you book.

What helps on the day: clear loose clutter off worktops and floors, empty any cupboards or the fridge you want cleaned inside, and put away valuables and paperwork. Let us know about pets, alarms and any surfaces that need gentle handling.

What changes the price of a deep clean

Every deep clean is quoted to the property, because two three-bed semis can need very different amounts of work. The main factors are:

  • Size: the number of bedrooms, bathrooms and floors
  • Condition: light dust versus years of grease and limescale
  • Task list: extras such as ovens, inside cupboards or carpet extraction
  • Furnished or empty: furniture takes longer to clean around and under
  • Access and parking: stairs with no lift, permit zones and loading time

Our pricing page explains how quotes are built. For an accurate deep clean price estimate, a quick description and a few photos are usually enough.

Deep cleaning homes across Romford

We clean all kinds of homes across the RM area, from flats near the station and newer developments to older terraces and larger semi-detached family homes. A few practical points help the day run smoothly:

  • Parking: if you’re in a controlled parking zone, a visitor permit saves time that would otherwise go on your bill.
  • Flats: tell us about entry codes, concierge desks, lifts and which bins we can use.
  • Pets: we’re happy to work around them, but a closed-off room or a garden visit makes it easier to clean floors properly.
  • Occupied homes: if you’re working from home, we’ll plan the order of rooms so you always have somewhere to be.

Products and how we use them safely

We match the product to the surface, not the other way round. Acid-based descalers work well on chrome taps and glass shower screens, but they’ll etch marble, limestone and some natural stone worktops. On those surfaces we use pH-neutral cleaners. Where a finish is unknown or delicate, such as an old lacquered table or a painted kitchen door, we try a small hidden patch first.

Cloths are kept separate for toilets, bathrooms and kitchens, so nothing used around a toilet goes near a chopping board. We follow product dwell times and dilution instructions, ventilate as we go, and rinse food-contact surfaces so they’re ready to use. Eco-friendly products are available on request, and we’ll check they suit each surface before using them.

What customers say

“The kitchen was the reason I booked. The extractor filters hadn’t been touched since we moved in and the hob had a brown ring round every burner. Both came up properly, and they did inside the cupboards too, because I’d emptied them the night before.” Laura M., Gidea Park, deep clean

“Left keys with my neighbour as I was at work. Everything was locked up and keys returned as arranged. Bathroom limescale much better.” Daniel O., Harold Wood, deep clean

“We booked a deep clean before my mum moved in with us. They talked me out of adding carpet cleaning, as the carpets just needed a good vacuum, which I appreciated. Skirting boards, radiators and the top of every wardrobe were done. One window sill had been missed and they came back for it.” Samira K., Collier Row, deep clean

“Honest about the grout in our shower. Most of it came up but some black marks had gone too deep, and they told me that upfront rather than overselling it.” Chris T., Hornchurch, deep clean

Deep cleaning FAQs

What’s included in a deep clean?

The full room-by-room checklist above, adjusted to your home. That covers kitchens, bathrooms, bedrooms, living areas and hallways, including high dusting, skirting boards, behind movable furniture and limescale removal. Ovens, carpet extraction and external windows are extras.

Do I need to be home during the clean?

No. Many customers leave keys with a neighbour or use a key safe. We’ll agree access and locking-up arrangements before the visit.

Do you bring your own products and equipment?

Yes, unless we’ve agreed otherwise. If you have preferred products, allergies or surfaces that need specific care, tell us when you book.

Can you get rid of mould in the bathroom?

Usually, we can clean surface mould from tiles, grout, silicone and ceilings. If it’s caused by damp or poor ventilation it will return, and stains that have soaked deep into silicone or grout may not lift completely.

How often should I book a deep clean?

Most homes in Romford benefit from one or two a year, with regular cleaning in between. Busy family homes and properties with pets may need one more often.

Is a deep clean the same as an end-of-tenancy clean?

Not quite. An end-of-tenancy clean follows the inventory and the agent’s requirements in an empty property, whereas a deep clean is built around your priorities in a home you’re living in.

Can I book same-day or at short notice?

Sometimes. Short-notice slots depend on availability and can’t be guaranteed, so get in touch as early as you can.
