Cleaning reviews in Romford – customer feedback by service

Cleaning Reviews from Romford Homes and Businesses

These cleaning reviews come from people across Romford and the surrounding RM postcodes: tenants handing back keys, families catching up on a neglected kitchen, and managers who need the office ready before staff arrive. We’ve kept them as they were written, so you can see what a visit from us actually involves before you book.

Customer feedback is how we check we’re getting the details right. When someone mentions the shower screen, the oven door glass or how the cleaner handled the keys, we take notice.

What Customers Say About Our Cleaning

“The kitchen hasn’t looked like this since we moved in”

We’d been putting off a proper clean for months. Two kids, a dog and a kitchen that never quite gets finished. The team did the cupboard fronts, the grease on top of the wall units and the extractor hood, and they’d asked beforehand whether our worktops were real oak so they used the right product. The skirting boards in the hallway were a nice surprise too.

Hannah W., Gidea Park · Deep Cleaning

“Inventory check went through without the usual back and forth”

I sent over the agent’s checkout report and some photos before the clean, and they built the checklist around it. Inside the oven, limescale on the bath taps, marks on the bedroom walls where they could be wiped. They were honest that a couple of scuffs in the lounge were wear and wouldn’t come off with cleaning, which was fair. The agent’s check was fine and I didn’t have to argue about the kitchen this time.

Daniel O., Harold Wood · End of Tenancy Cleaning

“Same priorities every fortnight, which is exactly what I wanted”

I gave them a short list: bathrooms, kitchen floor, hoovering upstairs and changing the bed. That’s what gets done, every time, and anything extra we agree first. I work shifts so I leave a key in the safe by the back door and that’s all sorted.

Margaret T., Collier Row · Regular Cleaning

“Oven door glass is actually see-through again”

Short and sweet. Racks, trays, inside the door and the bit between the two panes of glass that I’d given up on. No fumes hanging around afterwards either.

Ravi P., Hornchurch · Oven Cleaning

“Helpful about drying time before they’d even started”

They told us to plan for the lounge and stairs to be out of action for a few hours and to keep a window open, which made sense once we saw how much they’d lifted out of the carpet. Most of the traffic marks by the front door have gone. The old red wine mark has faded a lot, though they’d said upfront they couldn’t promise it would come out completely, and it hasn’t fully.

Claire B., Upminster · Carpet Cleaning

“Builders’ dust was everywhere, including places I didn’t think to look”

After our loft conversion I thought I’d hoovered it all. Then I wiped a door frame and it was white. The team went over every ledge, the tops of the doors, inside the window tracks and the light fittings, and vacuumed before wiping so they weren’t just smearing it around. They ran through what they’d done with me before leaving, room by room.

Steve and Jo M., Emerson Park · After Builders Cleaning

“Office is ready before we open, and nobody’s tripping over a hoover”

We’re a small team just off South Street. Cleaning happens early, before staff arrive, and covers the kitchenette, toilets, desks and the glass on the front door that gets covered in fingerprints by Friday. When a bin got missed one week, I emailed and they sorted it on the next visit without any fuss.

Amira K., Romford Town Centre · Office Cleaning

“Turnovers between guests are much easier now”

I let a flat out on short stays and the change-over used to eat my whole day. They follow my checklist: fresh linen, bathroom done properly, bins out and a check of the cupboards for anything guests have left. If something’s broken or missing they send me a message and a photo so I’m not finding out from the next guest.

Lewis F., Elm Park · Airbnb Cleaning

“Got us out of a tight spot on moving day”

We were moving out on the Friday and the new place was being handed over the same week. They quoted from the photos I sent, agreed what was in and what wasn’t, and I left the keys with my neighbour at number 14. Came back to a clean, empty house and a message saying what had been done.

Natalie R., Rush Green · End of Tenancy Cleaning

What Comes Up Again and Again in Our Feedback

Reading through the comments, a few things are mentioned more than anything else. None of them are complicated. They’re just the parts of a clean that are easy to get wrong.

  • Agreeing the job first. Customers like knowing what’s included before anyone arrives, especially for one-off and tenancy cleans. We agree scope and price upfront so there are no surprises on the day.
  • Asking about surfaces. Oak worktops, marble, natural stone floors and older enamel baths don’t all take the same products. We ask, and we check.
  • Being straight about limits. Cleaning lifts dirt, grease and limescale. It doesn’t repair scuffs, burns or worn carpet, and we’d rather tell you that before the visit than after.
  • Keys and access. Key safes, neighbours, agents and concierge desks all crop up in reviews. We sort the arrangement in advance so the cleaner isn’t stuck on the doorstep.
  • Putting things right. If something we agreed to do has been missed, tell us promptly and we’ll arrange to sort it.

End of Tenancy Cleaning Reviews: What Tenants Tell Us Matters

Move-out cleans generate more feedback than anything else, because there’s real money tied up in the deposit. The tenants who have the smoothest checkouts tend to do three things:

  1. Send us the inventory or the agent’s cleaning requirements. Our checklist is built around what your landlord or agent will actually check.
  2. Book the clean after your belongings are out. We can’t clean inside wardrobes or behind sofas that are still there.
  3. Mention any marks you’re worried about. We’ll tell you honestly whether cleaning is likely to shift them.

We can’t promise a deposit return or guarantee the outcome of an inventory check, and no honest cleaner can. What we can do is work carefully to the list your agent uses. You’ll find the full room-by-room scope on our end of tenancy cleaning page.

How to Read Cleaner Reviews Before You Book Anyone

Whoever you choose, a few minutes with their reviews will tell you a lot.

  • Look for specifics. A review that mentions the extractor hood or the window tracks was written by someone who looked closely. “Great service” tells you very little.
  • Check the service matches yours. A glowing review for a weekly tidy doesn’t tell you how a company handles after-builders dust or a full tenancy checklist.
  • Notice how problems were handled. Every cleaning company misses something occasionally. The useful question is what happened next.
  • Be wary of promises. If a company claims every stain will come out or your deposit is guaranteed, that’s a sign they’re telling you what you want to hear.

If you’d like to know exactly what happens from your first message to the final check, our how it works page walks through it.
