Domestic Cleaning in Romford (RM)
Our domestic cleaning in Romford is for households where the week never quite leaves time for the bathroom, the kitchen worktops and the hall floor all at once. Our vetted, insured cleaners visit weekly, fortnightly or as a one-off. They work to a checklist built around your home, in houses and flats across RM, so you get your evenings back without lowering the standard.
Tell us about your home and what’s getting on top of you. We’ll come back with a free, no-obligation quote. Call 01708 204 312 or email us.
What a regular home clean covers
A regular visit concentrates on the jobs that build up fastest and make the biggest difference to how a home feels day to day. Together we agree a priorities list, and that list guides every visit.
Kitchen
- Worktops wiped and cleared areas cleaned, including the corners behind the kettle and toaster
- Hob top cleaned, with spills and splashes lifted from the splashback
- Sink and taps descaled and polished, plughole cleaned
- Cupboard fronts, handles and appliance exteriors wiped, including fingerprints on the fridge door
- Microwave inside and out
- Bins emptied and the bin lid and surround wiped
- Floor vacuumed and mopped
Bathrooms and toilets
- Toilet cleaned inside and out, including the base and the hinges where grime collects
- Bath, shower tray and basin cleaned
- Limescale tackled on taps, shower heads and glass screens
- Tiles and grouting wiped down in the splash zones
- Mirrors polished and floors washed
Bedrooms, living rooms and hallways
- Dusting of reachable surfaces, skirting boards, window sills and picture frames
- Beds made or linen changed if you leave fresh sheets out
- Sofas vacuumed under the cushions if you’d like
- Light switches, door handles and banister rails wiped
- Carpets vacuumed and hard floors mopped, including under easily moved furniture
You don’t need all of this every visit. Many Romford customers ask for a full bathroom and kitchen clean each time and rotate bedrooms or skirting boards week by week. That keeps visits a sensible length and the whole house under control.
Weekly, fortnightly or one-off: which suits your home?
Weekly suits family homes, pet owners and anyone working long hours. Nothing has a chance to build up. Bathrooms stay free of limescale, and kitchen grease never gets stubborn.
Fortnightly works well for couples, single occupants and smaller flats. The cleaner usually needs a bit longer on the bathroom and the kitchen floor, so we plan the visit with that in mind.
One-off cleans are popular before guests arrive, after an illness, or when you’re simply behind. If a home hasn’t had a thorough clean for months, we’ll usually suggest starting with a deep clean and moving on to regular visits afterwards. A regular visit is planned to maintain a home, and it won’t strip back months of soap scum in the time it’s given.
Extras and jobs that need separate agreement
Some tasks take specialist products, extra time or equipment, so they aren’t part of a routine visit unless we’ve agreed them in advance:
- Oven interiors. Racks, glass doors and baked-on carbon need a proper oven clean rather than a wipe.
- Inside the fridge and freezer. These need emptying first, so we book them as an add-on.
- Inside kitchen cupboards. We need the cupboards cleared, which is why this suits move-ins and deep cleans better.
- Carpet and upholstery extraction. This uses different machines and needs drying time.
- External windows and high-level work. That covers anything needing a ladder, plus the outside glass.
- Ironing and laundry. Ask us and we’ll tell you what we can fit into your visit.
There are also times when cleaning isn’t the answer. Black mould that keeps returning to a bedroom wall usually points to condensation or damp, and that needs ventilation or building work. Etched marble, worn enamel, scratched worktops and faded grout won’t come back with cleaning. If we spot something like suspected asbestos, sharps or biohazards, we’ll stop and talk to you. We won’t carry on regardless.
How booking a domestic cleaner works
- Tell us about your home. Give us the number of bedrooms and bathrooms, how often you’d like us, and what matters most. Photos help with one-off jobs. You can book online, call or email.
- We agree your checklist and quote. You’ll know the scope, the price and any extras before anything starts.
- We sort out access. You can be home, leave a key, use a key safe or arrange for a neighbour to let us in. We confirm the arrival window in advance.
- We clean. Your cleaner brings the supplies and equipment, unless you’ve asked us to use your own products.
- We check the work. Your cleaner runs through the agreed tasks before leaving. If something on the list has been missed, contact us promptly and we’ll arrange to put it right. We’ll confirm how that works when you book.
All you need to do beforehand is clear clutter off worktops and floors where you can. Our cleaners clean around belongings, but picking up toys and post isn’t a good use of the time you’re paying for.
What affects the price
Every home in RM is different, so we quote rather than guess. The main factors are:
- the size of the property, and especially the number of bathrooms
- its current condition and how long since it was last cleaned properly
- the tasks on your checklist and any extras such as oven or fridge cleaning
- how often we visit, since regular visits generally take less time each
- pets, high ceilings, stairs or awkward access
- parking and the time it takes to get in and out
You’ll find more detail on our pricing page. Your price is agreed upfront, before your first visit.
Keys, pets and working around family life
Practical details make or break a regular clean. Here’s how we handle them:
- Keys. We agree in advance how keys are collected, stored and returned. Many customers leave a key with us for regular visits, and others use a key safe.
- Pets. Tell us about dogs, cats and anything in a cage or tank. We’ll make sure the cleaner is comfortable with your animals and will tackle pet hair on sofas and stair carpets. Let us know if a pet needs to stay in a particular room.
- Working from home. If you’re on calls in the spare room, we’ll do that room last or skip it that week. Just say.
- Parking. Some streets near Romford town centre have permit or pay-and-display bays. If a visitor permit is needed, let us know when you book.
- Allergies and preferences. Tell us about asthma, allergies or products you’d rather we avoid. Eco-friendly products are available on request, and we’ll check they suit each surface.
How we look after your surfaces
Good cleaning starts with knowing what you’re cleaning. Our cleaners:
- use separate cloths for toilets, bathrooms and kitchens, so nothing from the loo goes near a food surface
- check material before choosing a product, because acidic limescale removers will etch natural stone and harsh scourers scratch stainless steel and glass hobs
- try a small, hidden test patch first on anything delicate or unfamiliar
- follow product dilution and contact times, then rinse food-prep surfaces so they’re ready to use
- avoid soaking wooden floors and laminate, which can swell at the joints
If you have specialist finishes such as oiled oak, polished plaster or unsealed stone, tell us before the first visit. We’ll agree how to treat them.
What our customers say
“Our cleaner comes every Thursday while we’re at work and the house is ready for the weekend when we get in. The bathroom used to be my Sunday job. Not any more.” Hannah R., Gidea Park, weekly domestic cleaning
“I asked for the kitchen and both bathrooms to come first every time, with bedrooms rotated. They stuck to it from day one. When the hall skirting got missed one week, I sent a message and they sorted it on the next visit.” Daniel O., Collier Row, fortnightly cleaning
“Two dogs and a cream sofa. Enough said. They’re good with the dogs and the hair is actually gone.” Sue M., Harold Wood, weekly home cleaning
“Booked a one-off before my parents came to stay, then added the oven as an extra. Quote was clear and the door glass is see-through again.” Kemi A., Rush Green, one-off clean with oven add-on
Domestic cleaning FAQs
What’s included in a standard domestic clean?
Usually kitchen and bathroom cleaning, dusting, vacuuming and mopping, plus emptying bins. The exact list depends on your home and your priorities, and we agree it before the first visit. Oven interiors, inside fridges and carpet extraction are extras.
Can I have a custom checklist?
Yes. Most regular customers do. Tell us what matters most and what can rotate, and we’ll build the list around that. You can change it whenever your needs change.
Will I have the same cleaner each time?
We aim for the same cleaner on regular bookings, because they get to know your home and your preferences. Holidays and sickness mean occasional cover, and the cover cleaner works from the same checklist.
How do I know your cleaners can be trusted?
Our cleaners are vetted and insured before they work in customers’ homes. Ask us about our vetting process when you call and we’ll explain it. We also agree key handling in writing in advance.
Do I need to provide cleaning products?
No. We bring supplies and equipment as standard. If you prefer your own products or have a particular floor cleaner, leave it out and we’ll use it.
Do I need to be home?
No. Plenty of Romford customers are out at work during visits. We agree access, keys and alarm codes beforehand.
Can I book domestic cleaners online?
Yes. Send your details through our booking page and we’ll confirm the checklist, price and start date with you. Short-notice slots depend on availability.
